Date added: 10-01-2013 iPhonefixed loves the Nix colour sensor
Here at iPhonefixed, we love to keep up with the most recent iPhone technology developments, from apps to hardware, protective cases to fun accessories. One of our favourites to date is the incredibly clever Nix colour sensor, which allows you to easily capture the perfect colour and shade for any design or interiors projects.
The colour sensor works in a wonderfully simple way; simply open the corresponding app on your iPhone, scan the object or picture with the colour you wish to capture, and watch the colour swatch appear on your iPhone screen. The unique design means it blocks out all ambient light, and then provides its own calibrated light source, meaning that the colour swatch you receive on your iPhone is the most accurate you’ll ever be able to capture.
Once you’ve got your colour sample, the possibilities are endless. At the same time Nix scans, it also provides you with the RGB values of the colour, which means you can easily find the corresponding colour on PC and Macbook design software. Alternatively, touch the colour in the Nix app on your iPhone, and then select what you’re looking for from the menu; choose from anything, from make up to crayons, and of course interior wall paint. You’ll then be taken to a screen where you can select the brand you desire, and any available stockists – and there’s even the option to be taken directly to the brand website.
The most accurate way to select colour to date, the Nix colour scanner blows all previous sampling methods out of the water. Forget inaccurate paint charts and smartphone photographs, Nix can provide you with the colour you’re looking for in seconds – so no more repainting the bedroom!
