Here at iPhonefixed we’re big music fans, and although we use iTunes to keep our music collections neat and tidy, it’s good to know that there are plenty of iPhone apps around for us music lovers. From apps that help you name an unknown song, to wi-fi powered radio stations, there’s a little something for everyone to enhance their listening pleasure.

Shazam

If you’ve ever heard a snippet of a song, and haven’t been able to get it out of your head, we feel your pain. There’s nothing more annoying than thinking, ‘I really love that song!’ but not having a clue what it is – which is where the Shazam iPhone app comes to your rescue. Whether the music in question is on the radio, on an advert or playing in somebodys car, simply hold your iPhone up, press the Shazam button and the app will find a match within seconds. Amazing!

Rdio

If you like the freedom of streaming music, but hate the advertisements that litter most apps, then Rdio is the app for you. With over 20 million songs, unlimited streaming options and absolutely no ads, you can listen to all the music you like without the irritation of being interrupted.

Concert Vault

Pre-recorded music is great for everyday listening, but sometimes it’s nice to hear the artist singing live, especially if you’re into music from years gone by. Concert Vault, brought to you by Wolfgangs Vault, is an app stuffed full with live concert performances from artists such as Pink Floyd, The Clash and Patti Smith amongst others, and features an artist search function and controls to pause and change tracks.

MusiXmatch

Here at iPhonefixed, we know how easy it is to find yourself singing along to a catchy song, only to suddenly find you can’t understand half of what the artist is singing.
